Workflow
How It Works
A straightforward path from offline receipt notes to organised matching reviews and historical reference.
Step 1 — Gather locally available information
Start with the receipt details and reference notes you already have offline. That may include paper notes, exported text, or other records you maintain yourself. Mindtools does not require connecting payment accounts or wallets.
Step 2 — Structure entries for matching
Enter or import the informational fields that make comparison useful: dates, reference codes, vendor descriptions, line-item notes, and your own labels. Clean structure at this stage makes later matching reviews faster and more consistent.
Step 3 — Compare and mark match outcomes
Use match review strips to inspect related entries. Mark each case as matched, unmatched, or needing follow-up notes. Add short analytical comments so the reason for a decision remains understandable later.
Step 4 — Keep a review history
Save outcomes into a historical log. Over time, this becomes a personal archive of what you reviewed and how you classified it — useful for audits of your own notes and for continuing unfinished work.
Step 5 — Summarise for personal reference
When you need an overview, generate summaries from stored records. Summaries are informational snapshots of your archive, not financial statements or investment reports.
What the workflow excludes
The Mindtools workflow does not include funding accounts, connecting wallets, depositing or withdrawing assets, executing transactions, or receiving financial advice. The entire process stays within local tracking, analysis, and record-keeping.
Getting the application
When you are ready to use the software, choose Get it from Microsoft. That action opens the Microsoft Store homepage. This website does not offer EXE, MSI, ZIP, or other installer downloads.
